Stewart Clements, Director of HHIC said “Gas Engineers are the back bone of our industry, responsible for servicing and maintaining gas heating systems in the 85% of UK homes that rely on gas.
Gas engineers are one of the most highly trained and scrutinised professions of all the trades and in addition they have now been found to be honest, reliable and incredibly hard working delivering high quality workmanship. They are key to helping reduce carbon emissions as they provide advice on what technology to install and how best to use it. I would encourage the Government to take note of this and engage with heating engineers in their drive to make the UK more energy efficient after all Green Deal failed because heating engineers were ignored.”
Always use a Gas Safe Registered Engineer when having gas appliances installed and serviced.
